Please join us over Labor Day Weekend as Bas Bleu Theatre Company and the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department (RCVFD) team up to present top-notch theatre, art and music. The RCVFD and Bas Bleu have partnered for this annual benefit featuring two performances of The Guys by Anne Nelson on Friday night and Saturday afternoon at the theatre, and the acclaimed Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction on Sunday afternoon in Rist Canyon. Starring Wendy Ishii and Peter DeAnello, the play, based on a true event, is the poignant and heartwarming story of a journalist and a fire captain who find friendship as they compose eulogies for men lost on September 11, 2001.
After the Saturday matinee (at approximately 2:30pm), ticket holders for either show can board the Bleu Flame Bus and sip a glass of wine on the trip up Rist Canyon for a sneak preview of the of the auction where they can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and live music while mingling with the actors and artists. The inaugural Bleu Flame Arts Weekend will conclude on Sunday afternoon with the 15th anniversary Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction beginning at 1:00 PM. We are thrilled and honored that Mr. Schmid will travel to Colorado for this event!
