Homegrown Fort Collins

Fort Collins loves to eat. Ask anyone who shops at our many Farmer’s Markets or is a member of a CSA farm about Colorado produce, poultry, and livestock. Fresh sweet corn, chocolate milk and tangy cheeses, luscious melons, succulent lamb, delicate mushrooms. And beer. Enjoying good food with friends and family in Northern Colorado is a beloved pastime. Homegrown Fort Collins is a month long celebration of our local food and agricultural roots. Homegrown Fort Collins introduces our community to the local farming and agricultural community and creates connections between the Northern Colorado public, out local growers, and out dine chefs and restaurants.

Adventures in Food – Cook dinner with your friends with the guidance of a local celebrity chef or caterer. An intimate, hands-on cooking, eating, and drinking event in the historic Armory Building Event Center. Ticketed event.

Downtown tasting Tours – Downtown restaurants create custom menus highlighting foods prepared by local chefs using locally resourced ingredients.

Celebrity Chef Challenge – A high-energy showcase of out community’s culinary best. Six well known chefs compete for best appetizer, side dish and main course using locally sourced ingredients. The audience will enjoy tastes of all the chef’s creations plus out great local beers. An attached marketplace will include exclusive cookbook, tote bag, and ingredients used by the chefs. Ticketed event.

Additional free educational opportunities include – Farmer’s Market food demonstrations, a Fort Collins Food Blog featuring local chefs.
